After reading Long Bright River, which takes place in Philadelphia, I decided to see what foods the city is known for besides cheesesteak. According to VisitPhilly.com, Water Ice is one of the city’s most iconic foods. I am sad to say I have never visited Philadephia, but I do enjoy water ice, but I have always called it Italian ice. Of course, my favorite variation is Frose, but today I am sticking to traditional, family-friendly Water Ice.
This recipe is so simple and does not require an ice creamer maker. It is a fun for everyone! I made both pineapple and peach as shown in the pictures.
