Mrs. Maisel’s Marvelous Brisket

The Lions of Fifth Avenue takes place in New York. My favorite New Yorker is Midge Maisel. The celebrity chef Babish has a fantastic brisket recipe that was inspired by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Click here to see a video and to watch a funny clip of Midge Maisel when she tries to bribe a stage manager with a brisket. I can’t repost either the written recipe or the video due to copyright issues, so be sure to click on the links.

My son, Joe, is a great home chef!! He likes to make recipes from the show Binging with Babish. Joe stayed with me immediately after my October knee replacement surgery. One of the meals he made was Babish’s version of Mrs. Maisel’s Marvelous Brisket. It was very good! It has a sweet and tangy flavor. As a southerner and a Texan, I must admit that I like smoked brisket better, but this was a nice departure. Thanks, Joe!
