Happy Publication Day on May 15, 2020, to Diane Kelly for the release of her novella Another Big Bust. This book is the second in her Busted series about female motorcycle cops. Be sure to check out my author interview with Diane regarding the first book Busted!
Shae Sharpe is a motorcycle cop in Durham, North Carolina. She is honest, caring, helpful, and enjoys her job. She is blonde, attractive, and quite buxom. During work, Shae has a chance encounter with her father, who she has not seen since he’d taken off twenty years ago with the cash Shae’s mother had earned as a cashier at a grocery store. After this upsetting incident, Shae unwinds by riding with her all-female motorcycle club, The Dangerous Curves. The club’s founder, Trixie, is Shae’s friend and mentor. Trixie encourages Shae to learn to forgive her father. That is easier said than done since he left the family penniless and homeless. Shae, her mother, and sister were forced to live in their car after being evicted.
Back on the job, Shae learns that there have been several recent thefts of classic muscle cars in the Raleigh-Durham area. Within a few hours, another theft is reported. This time it is a 1970 lime green Barracuda that has been stolen from a disabled vet. The car speeds by Shae, who takes chase. The car continues into the next county, so Shae calls for backup from the Chatham County Sheriff’s department. An unusual road obstacle stops Shae from pursuing the criminal.
The Chatham County Sheriff’s deputy who arrives is Zane Archer. Shae immediately feels an attraction to him. After interviewing the disabled vet, Shae is determined to find the culprit. Shae gets permission to help the Durham police investigator assigned to the case and is later authorized to do a joint investigation with deputy Archer in Chatham County.
I found myself drawn to Shae’s character. She must deal with her personal relationship with her father, her first attempt to do detective work, and the possible love interest with Zane. 5-Stars.
And now for my Recipes For Readers Recommendation:

Those brownies look yummy! Chocolate and cherries are a great combination.
